The Olivia Experiment is a feature-length comedic film written by Alex Komisaruk and directed by Sonja Schenk and produced by Mansfield Films.
Alex Komisaruk’s screenwriting experience includes Lifetime’s highly-rated movie Living with the Enemy, sitcoms for ABC and Showtime, and feature projects developed with companies including Craven/Maddalena Films, Tribeca Films, Crystal Sky, Benderspink, and Tapestry. A four-time Emmy nominee for editing, she has also worked as a producer in new media. She holds an MFA from USC in film and is an Adjunct Professor at Chapman University Film School.
Sonja Schenk is a director, producer and writer based in Los Angeles. Prior to forming Mansfield Films with Alexandra Komisaruk and directing “The Olivia Experiment”, she was co-executive producer of several popular reality TV series including The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, and High School Reunion. She began her career as a video artist and exhibited early works at the AFI Festival, Artists Space in NY, and New Langton Arts in San Francisco. After completing her MFA at USC in film, she edited documentaries for HBO, the BBC, Channel 4, Canal Plus and FX and also the feature film, “Britney Baby One More Time” which was shown at Sundance, Outfest LA and many other film festivals. She is also the co-author of “The Digital Filmmaking Handbook.”
